In the midst of what he described as a “very complex” market for Formula One drivers, Carlos Sainz announced on Monday that he has signed a two-year contract to race for Williams beginning in the 2025 season. After seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was named as the 29-year-old Spaniard’s replacement at the Italian powerhouses earlier this year, the 29-year-old will depart the team at the conclusion of the 2024 season. COMMERCIAL Sainz’s career total of three Formula One victories includes the one he scored in the Australian Grand Prix in March. Sainz has raced for Toro Rosso, Renault, and McLaren in the past.
