Pakistan captain Babar Azam was mocked on social media after his tribute post for the recently retired James Anderson contained a factual error. Azam’s post meant to honour the legendary fast bowler, mistakenly praised his “cutters,” a delivery not typically associated with Anderson’s bowling style.

The internet users were quick to pick up on the mistake, with fans flooding the comments section with mocking and corrections.

English pacer James Anderson bowed out of Test cricket with a three-wicket haul in his final innings in English whites as he helped his side beat the touring West Indies by an innings and 114 runs.

Anderson scalped the wicket of Joshua da Silva, with a peach of a delivery that moved away from the batter who looked to play the ball on the leg side but managed to only edge it behind to the keeper.

Anderson, who has pulled on the famous whites in 188 games for the English side has managed to pick up an astounding 704 wickets in his illustrious career and stands third in the list of all-time wicket-takers only behind the legendary spinners Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne.
