A poignant ode to Grand National hero Many Clouds has received two award nominations from a renowned New York film festival. At the EQUUS Film Festival (17–18 November), Many Clouds, The People’s Horse has been nominated for both the international director and international documentary categories. The gelding’s previous exercise rider, Nathan Horrocks, directed the short film, which was produced by Equine Productions, a Chepstow-based firm. “I am thrilled that an American audience will get to see how much he was loved as well as the amazing athlete that he was,” Nathan said. “Many Clouds meant the world to me and thousands of others.” “This is my homage to express my gratitude for all that he has done for me, on a personal and professional level.
