Denny Hamlin enjoyed what he saw from Tyler Reddick at the Charlotte Roval NASCAR Cup Series playoffs race on Sunday. On the Actions Detrimental podcast, Hamlin shared his thoughts on Reddick’s strong finish after overcoming damage to his No. 45 car.
“Super impressive, because when you look at kind of the damage they had on their car, obviously they were fixing something back there. The car went airborne, so there’s no telling what bent,” Hamlin said. “Certainly, it bent up the left rear tire on mine. I don’t know what damage he had, but I saw him working under it under caution. When they fix it, it’s not going to be back like 100 percent more than likely. I mean there’s probably all kinds of damage. They did a great job fixing it, and he just did a great job driving. As Denny Hamlin mentioned, Reddick made contact with him during the Roval race. At the time, the accident was a tough break for Reddick as he was on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs. But he worked his way to the top half of the field and finished 11th. Reddick advanced to the Round of 8 of the playoffs and is currently third in the standings.
