Daniel Brown, the surprise star of the Open, collected £245,000 in prize money and celebrated his joint-10th finish with a big supper at Wetherspoons. The 29-year-old, who was playing in his first Open at Royal Troon, ended on level par, making him the tournament’s surprise package.
