The 2020 Tokyo Games gold and silver medal winners will square off in the women’s gold medal final in an exciting rematch: Chen Meng will play her fellow countrywoman Sun Yingsha, whom she defeated 4-2 in the Tokyo all-China final. After winning the mixed doubles title earlier in the competition with partner Wang Chuqin, Sun is hoping to add more gold to her Paris Games medal collection. Currently rated No. 1, she is three places ahead of her opponent Chen, who is ranked No. 4 at the moment. Following their match, they will once more partner up with China’s women’s team to defend the crown they won together at the last Games.
