Best Dad Ever: Family Pays Tribute As Motocross Legend Ricky Carmichael……..read more

The family of a man who was fatally assaulted have paid tribute to “the best dad”. Lee Starr suffered a bleed on the brain during an incident at the Foxhills motocross event in August and sadly died three days later in hospital in Bristol.

Emergency services were called at around 9.15pm following a report that a man in his 30s had been assaulted, sustaining significant injuries. Lee was taken to Southmead’s ICU on August 22 and placed on life support but, after all efforts were made to save him, the decision was made to remove support.

The 38-year-old’s family described him as “kind and soft” and said he “always knew how to make things right”. A fundraiser was launched this week to help support his loving and devoted wife, Jaye, three children and a granddaughter.
