After touring several properties in the Muskoka area, NHL superstar and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid and his now wife Lauren Kyle landed on the “breathtaking” Old Woman Island on Lake Muskoka as the venue for their wedding, which took place on July 27.

Jayne’s Luxury Rentals set the scene for their big day. The 16-acre island “made for a truly majestic wedding venue,” the company shared on its social media pages.

“Last summer, Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle toured several of our Muskoka properties before selecting the breathtaking Old Woman Island on Lake Muskoka as the venue for their wedding,” reads the post. “We couldn’t agree more with their choice — this 16-acre island made for a truly majestic wedding venue, so much so that even Vogue Australia couldn’t resist featuring it.⁠”
