NASCAR fining him $50,000 last week for a retaliatory door smash into Alex Bowman following the Chicago Street Race. Wallace gave Bowman a hard time for something that had happened to him earlier in the race. Bowman crashed the 23XI Racing Toyota by entering the bend too strongly. Bowman attempted to text Wallace during a rain delay in the middle of the race and accepted responsibility for the event right away. Following the race, Bowman remarked, “The rain delay was just a lot of me sitting there being embarrassed and mad at myself.”
