F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Angrily Sends A Message To Ferrari Boss Saying…… Read more

Lewis Hamilton is aiming for a podium at the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix although he concedes McLaren and Red Bull are out of the reach as he prepares to battle Ferrari at through 70 laps at the Hungaroring.

The seven-time world champion enters the race as the most recent winner in the 2024 F1 season but it seems unlikely that will continue on Sunday, July 21 as the victory looks set to an exclusive contest between the McLarens and Max Verstappen.

However grim the forecast, Hamilton is known for his positive mentality and that was on show again in parc ferme as he said Mercedes could still move forwards and try to fight with the cars around them.

“Definitely,” Hamilton said on whether there’s a chance for a podium. “We’ll find out how our pace is compared to the others.

“I think they will be quicker in the race, McLarens and the Red Bull. I think we’re there, thereabouts with the Ferraris so we’ll have a battle with those guys.”

Unfortunately, one thing that won’t go in Hamilton’s favour is a strategic advantage as he bids for a podium against the two Ferraris of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, something he admitted could be a factor.
