There are many reasons for optimism surrounding Alabama entering the 2024 season, and a lot of it starts, of course, with quarterback Jalen Milroe.

Much of this is obvious. Milroe returns after starting 13 games for the Crimson Tide last season, in which he went 11-2. He threw for 2,834 yards, ran for 842, and scored 35 total touchdowns. He led Alabama to the SEC title and College Football Playoff.

Now, Milroe now gets to work with Kalen DeBoer, a head coach with a successful track record of not only winning games — his 104-12 career head-coaching record is ridiculous — but also of getting the most out of his quarterbacks.
