Racing veteran John Force has been released from the hospital after spending almost a month there due to a traumatic brain damage he sustained in a devastating 300 mph incident. COMMERCIAL The brain injury happened during a crash at the Virginia Nationals in June during the first round of Funny Car eliminations. When Force’s car reached the finish line, its engine failed catastrophically, sending it over the center line, across the concrete guard, and into a wall. In the incident, the 75-year-old Force also sustained a shattered sternum.
