The province’s anti-organized crime task force announced that a man from Kelowna, British Columbia, has been sentenced to 12 years in jail on drug-trafficking charges after a year-long crackdown on the Throttle Lockers Motorcycle Club.

Zale Coty, 54, was a full-patch member of the motorcycle gang, which is a well-known support group for the Hells Angels chapter in Kelowna, according to the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia.

Coty was detained last week along with friends Jacob Andrew Cavanagh and Shawn William Carlisle, who both entered guilty pleas to other drug offenses. Coty pleaded guilty to the counts, which included conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.
