Elliott’s NASCAR spotter has been suspended after being arrested.
On Wednesday, the NASCAR Cup Series and Chase Elliott’s team, Hendrick Motorsports, announced an indefinite suspension for the spotter.
Elliott’s spotter, Eddie D’Hondt, was taken into custody in Catawba County, North Carolina, on May 12th, following the issuance of a warrant and accusations of assault and battery of an unborn child.

The status of the cases pertaining to D’Hondt’s initial arrest, number sixty-two, is now uncertain.
D’Hondt has been suspended, according to NASCAR officials, for allegedly breaking a rule by neglecting to report his arrest on a felony charge within 72 hours.

Taking similar action, Hendrick Motorsports released the following statement on Wednesday.
