In an exciting initiative aimed at empowering young female athletes, Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) has unveiled the inaugural ‘Girls First’ Awards. This program recognizes and supports outstanding female collegiate athletes who exemplify leadership, resilience, and dedication to their sport.

AAG is proud to announce three exceptional female collegiate ambassadors who will represent the program: Jessica Rios from the University of Arizona, a powerful swimmer known for her record-breaking times; Maya Thompson, a standout soccer player from Arizona State University, who is also an advocate for mental health awareness; and Angela Chen, a talented volleyball player from Northern Arizona University, recognized for her commitment to community service.

These award winners will receive scholarships, mentorship opportunities, and a platform to inspire the next generation of female athletes. AAG aims to break down barriers and create a more inclusive athletic environment, highlighting the importance of female representation in sports.

“This initiative is about fostering a supportive network for young girls pursuing athletics,” said AAG spokesperson. “We believe in putting girls first and celebrating their achievements.” Through the ‘Girls First’ Awards, AAG is paving the way for a brighter future in collegiate sports.
